5 Fantastic Blog Topics

So you know that blogging is an amazingly effective marketing strategy. But still you find yourself stressing on what to blog about.

Sometimes, you spend all day running around your home office straightening up every pen or piece of paper that is out of place, in hopes that if you just had ‘5- more minutes’ the most brilliant blog topic will magically pop into your head.

As creative entrepreneurs, we tend to have lots of ideas and passions to pursue. But in order to translate that into dollars and cents, you gotta get your message, product and service out there for the world to see.

Consistently.

The trick is to get your business or service in front of massive amounts of people by providing value.

A blog is a great way to do this.  (Check out my recent post on why you need a blog.)

So now that you have decided to blog, it’s time to get down to the nuts and bolts on what to blog about and how often.

Here’s the deal.

Blog as often as your audience wants or needs to hear from you. For some, that could mean everyday. For others...it’s once a week or once a month.

Whatever time frame you choose, make sure you leave your audience wanting more. You always want them to look forward to hearing from you.

When it comes go blog topics, there is no need in the world to stress out about it. There are literally hundreds of things to talk about, and once you get going it will take on a life of it’s own.

But here are 5 Fantastic Blog Topics to get you started!

1. Blog about your journey. Now, it may feel a little uncomfortable at first. I get it. It can be a little scary to share your personal experience. But...Enquiring Minds Want to Know!

Now that doesn’t mean you have to go all “Enquirer” or “Reality TV” on us. No need for an out and out personal expose!

But, people do genuinely connect with who you are and that comes from sharing a bit of yourself.

Blog about some of the challenges you have faced and how you have overcome them. That will help other people.

Because, guess what?

Other people have the same experiences. And the more you can help other people, the faster your business grows.

2. Another great blog topic is industry news! Whether you are in the network marketing, dentist, pet care or entertainment industry, you can position yourself as a leader by delivering content about your profession.

Answer the questions that people want to know, and you will be known as the “go-to source” for relevant news and information.

3. Feature interviews with other industry leaders. You can do video, audio or print interviews with the top income earners in your field. Pick their brains about what it takes to be successful and share that knowledge with your followers.

4. Company reviews! Since you are staying up to date on what is hot and what is not...you can blog and do third-party unbiased reviews on popular companies and products. Doing reviews on products and companies people are searching for is a great way to provide valuable content to the community while building an audience.

5. Teach what you learn. As an entrepreneur, you naturally have a thirst for knowledge. You are continually reading new books, learning new skills and implementing new strategies.

As you are learning new things, start to learn them as if you were preparing to teach it to someone else. First, it helps you to absorb the information on a higher level. Second, as you learn a new skill, it gives you additional knowledge that you can pass along to others. So share, share, share!

So there you have it! 5 Fantastic Blogging Topics that will put you and your business into momentum right away.

You have this amazing talent, product or service that you are just dying to share with the world.

You know that the secret you have in your back pocket will absolutely change a lot of lives...for the better!

Then, you think to yourself...”finally, here is my chance to build a business, own a company and pursue my passion at the same time.”

What could get better than that?

Not much.

But the biggest challenge most new entrepreneurs and business owners face is getting started.

Not with creating the product or service.

But actually getting started generating revenue from their business... i.e. getting customers and money in the bank.

The thing that most new business owners don’t know is that all successful businesses have a marketing and advertising budget.

Why?

Because you need a steady stream of people looking at your business everyday.

That’s what builds momentum.

So how do you do this if you are just starting out?

The goods news is you don’t need an enormous budget like Coca-Cola or Target to start marketing your business. You need a blog. With a blog, you can start attracting customers right away just by taking your marketing strategy online.

Before you can own a thriving business, you must first have a presence on the Internet.

5 Reasons Why You Absolutely Need a Blog.

  1. Build Your Brand: Now a brand identifies you in the marketplace. It tells your customers that you are the go-to person for such and such product or service. You can easily build your brand with a blog by sharing information about what you have to offer. Your blogs can be text, pictures, video or audio. You have tremendous flexibility with a blog and can customize it to best fit your business.
  2. Increase Exposure. Millions of people are online 24 hours a day! From all over the world. When people look for information, the first place they go is to the Internet. And you need to be there. You need a blog so people will get to know you. They will want to do business with you because you’ve established trust by sharing valuable information on your blog.
  3. Find out what your customers want. The great thing about a blog is that it is interactive. People can comment and you can engage in a dialogue with your customer base. Now that you have their attention through your blog, you can talk with them and find out what they are looking for. Discover their needs. With this information, you will be able to tailor your products and services to give your customers exactly what they want.
  4. Make Sales. When people know, like and trust you AND you are providing what they want...it is very easy to make sales.
  5. It’s Free! Unlike traditional advertising vehicles where you pay for a promotion for a set period of time, a blog is like a flyer that stays on the Internet forever...at no cost. People will find information about you and your business long after you have written that post...years in fact! So it’s just a smart business practice to have a blog.

Well, now that you know why you need a blog, you’re probably wondering how to get started.

The good news is, it’s really quick and easy!

Ooops... I Did It Again! How I Landed on Stage in Anaheim!

I spent the most amazing weekend in Anaheim celebrating the launch of the new Empower Network Blog Platform... aka... the Blog Beast!

This Epic launch includes a four-city tour of regional events during the month of October.

First stop...Anaheim, California!

1400 people packed the venue. On Friday night, everyone was busy testing out the new mobile app feature that allows us to blog right from our cell phones and mobile devices.

For people on the go...like most creative entrepreneurs...being able to easily work from anywhere with your cell phone is HUGE!

Anyway, towards the end of the night COO Jerry Ballard, announced an opportunity for people to ask a question and submit it via email. And a few selected questions would be answered LIVE at the event.

So, I figured what the heck....there's Is something that I'm dying to know.

Now, as part of the Blog Beast launch, Dave & Dave identifed 17 Super Dumbass Blogging Blunders.

So I submitted a question. Here is what I asked:

On Saturday, the Empower Team selected 9 questions. And mine was one of them. David's answer really surprised me.

He shared a story of how took some bad advice and quit Internet marketing for a minute.

It was fun to see my video on the big screen and I really enjoyed listening to the panelists answer all of the questions.

I thought that was the end of it.

BUT...

On Sunday, Jerry announced that there was a secret contest for the best question. He called me onstage just before noon, and announced that I had won!

I was super excited.

You may recall, I was nomined for the Best Product Video Contest back in May. And my video played before a crowd of 6000 people at our last event in Denver.

So here I was standing on stage at the next event 3 months later in Anaheim!

Only this time, I won the Grand Prize: A One of a Kind Blog Beast Redemption Movie Poster....that is personally autographed by Empower Network Co-Founder, David Wood!

This poster is ridiculously COOL!

In fact, it's so large that it is currently being shipped to me!

I can't wait to get it. I have just the perfect place for it!

And that's how I did it again and got featured onstage at two Empower Network Events!
